The sequel to Garry's Mod releases this month, and Valve will let you publish your creations as standalone Steam games, like dafty Finn sim My Summer Cottage
Facepunch Studios, led by Garry Newman, announced a new licensing deal with Valve that will allow creators to publish their S&box creations as standalone Steam games without paying Facepunch a fee. S&box, a spiritual successor to Garry's Mod built on the Source 2 engine, is set to release on April 28th and will support features like visual scripting and VR. The first game to be released using this system will be My Summer Cottage.
