Three people have been charged with illegally exporting NVIDIA GPUs to China
Three individuals, including two employees and a contractor from Super Micro Computer, have been charged with illegally exporting NVIDIA GPUs to China. The scheme involved circumventing US export control laws by creating fake orders and falsifying records to send servers containing these chips to China. The illegal sales are estimated to be worth $2.5 billion between 2024 and 2025, violating the Export Control Reform Act.
