Turn-Based RPG Final Fantasy Resonance Is Not a Port or Remake of Shuttered Gacha Game
Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Resonance, a new turn-based RPG for PlayStation 5 built using HD-2D technology. This title is a complete reimagining of the 2015 mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which ceased service in 2025, and will not feature microtransactions or live service elements. The game is set to release on October 22nd and will allow players to summon iconic Final Fantasy characters as Visions to aid in combat.
