Twitch leaving Korea due to "prohibitively expensive" operating costs

Twitch is ceasing operations in South Korea on February 27, 2024, citing prohibitively expensive operating costs, particularly high network fees. CEO Dan Clancy stated that the streaming service has been running at a significant loss in the region and that there is no sustainable path forward.
