Ubisoft studio that invented Rainbow Six to stop making games after 30 years
Ubisoft studio Red Storm Entertainment, the original creator of the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six franchise, is ceasing game development operations after nearly 30 years. While the studio will continue in an IT and engine support role, 105 jobs are being lost as part of Ubisoft's broader restructuring. Red Storm's last active involvement in the Tom Clancy franchise was with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in 2012, and its final game was Assassin's Creed Nexus VR.
