While other games try to avoid GTA 6, Phantom Blade Zero has changed its release date to move closer to it
Phantom Blade Zero developer S-Game has moved the game's release date from September 9th to October 29th, placing it just three weeks before Grand Theft Auto 6's November 19th launch. Game director Qiwei Liang stated that the decision was primarily driven by the desire to improve product quality and fix bugs, rather than a marketing strategy to avoid competition. While not in the same genre, the immense popularity of Grand Theft Auto 6 could overshadow other releases, leading many games to adjust their schedules.
