With The Hobbit, Magic: The Gathering Hopes Lightning Can Strike Middle-Earth Twice
Wizards of the Coast is releasing a new Magic: The Gathering expansion for its Universes Beyond line, titled The Hobbit, in August. This follows the successful The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth set released in 2023. The new set will feature cards based on Bilbo Baggins' adventure, including characters like Smaug and mechanics referencing events from the book, with some reprints from the previous set also included as Box Toppers.
