Blade Runner 2099 feels more "like a movie," says showrunner, as it's only 8 episodes in total
Showrunner Silka Luisa confirmed that Amazon's Prime Video series Blade Runner 2099 is planned as an eight-episode limited series, designed to tell a complete story akin to a movie. The show is set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, depicting a future where replicants hold power and humans are second-class citizens, with Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh in lead roles. Ridley Scott was involved in shepherding the project.
