Solo developer ALX Theory is inviting players to a new playtest for their directional swordfighting MMO, Swordeye, which is available on Steam. This latest test features a new Overworld map with open-world combat events, proximity voice chat, extraction opportunities, and portals to new dungeons. The playtest aims to introduce MMO elements to the extraction title with scaling loot rewards and up to 30 players per server.

Swordeye is an upcoming hardcore MMO slasher developed by ALX Theory, set to release in 2026. It features brutal directional combat and focuses on players competing to ascend a dangerous tower filled with traps and enemies. A new playtest is scheduled for March 26th to 31st, introducing the Othari raid and proximity voice chat.

Solo developer ALX Theory announced that the melee combat MMO Swordeye will begin its latest playtest on March 26th. This playtest introduces a new Overworld map with open-world combat events, proximity voice chat, extraction opportunities, and portals to new dungeons. Players can enroll for the playtest on Steam.
