The Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, a 2024 PlayStation 5 remake of the 1988 RPG originally developed by Chunsoft, is currently available for 50% off on the PlayStation Store. Developed by Artdink Corporation and published by Square Enix, the game is priced at $29.99 until August 13. Famitsu has released its physical game sales data for Japan from June 1 to June 7, 2026. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream for Nintendo Switch remained the top seller, while the Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was the highest new release. Hardware sales were led by the Switch 2, followed by the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch families.

The game will also be available on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, featuring a story where the protagonist Elliot travels through different historical eras to lift a curse.
