Kotama and Academy Citadel is a solid, entertaining Metroidvania experience that borrows liberally from genre siblings, including a parry mechanic reminiscent of FromSoftware titles. While the combat is crisp and bosses are a highlight, the narrative is obscure and the time-loop mechanic feels underbaked. Publisher 2P Games and developer Atomstring Games have announced that their metroidvania title, Kotama and Academy Citadel, has received an update adding support for German, Russian, and French languages. The game, priced at $19.99, will be available on PC via Steam with a 10% launch discount.
