- GamesRadar+ and The MIX to Premiere Two New BitSummit ShowcasesBitSummit, Japan's premier indie game festival, announced its 14th edition, "PUNCH," concluded with record attendance and will return in May 2027. In the interim, GamesRadar+, PC Gamer, and The MIX will broadcast two new showcases on May 26th, featuring world premiere trailers and developer spotlights. The BitSummit PUNCH Steam event, offering game demos and sales, remains live through May 28th.

Drecom launches indie game studio DRECOM CREATORS STUDIO!Drecom Co., Ltd. has announced the establishment of DRECOM CREATORS STUDIO, a new indie game studio focused on supporting creators and bringing their works to a global audience. The studio will also exhibit at BitSummit PUNCH 2026, showcasing titles it supports and offering giveaways. Drecom aims to foster talent and expand intellectual property through various media mixes, building on successes like the "Wizardry" series.
- BitSummit PUNCH Award Nominees Revealed! Shuhei Yoshida Joins as International Award Judge and PresenterBitSummit PUNCH has revealed the nominees for its eight award categories, honoring over 40 indie titles ahead of the festival in Kyoto. Shuhei Yoshida, former President of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, will serve as a judge and presenter for the International Award. The festival will take place from May 22-24, with awards presented on May 23rd and 24th.
