It's Official: Sony Spins Off Iconic Television Business
Sony has officially announced a strategic partnership and spin-off of its television business into a new subsidiary named Bravia Inc. The new company will be a joint venture with Chinese manufacturer TCL, which will own 51% of the shares, while Sony retains 49%. This move integrates Sony's home entertainment products, including Bravia TVs and audio equipment, under a new structure expected to begin operations in April 2027.
