Fantasy Flight has announced the discontinuation of its board game Descent: Legends of the Dark and its planned Act III expansion due to prohibitive manufacturing and development costs. While the game will no longer receive new content, the accompanying app will remain functional for existing players. The company has not ruled out a future return to the Descent franchise in a different form.
