The European Games Developer Federation (EGDF) has announced its board for 2026-2028, with Hendrik Lesser re-elected as president. The organization will focus on improving developer access to funding, talent, and skills, and aims to become the first AI-based European trade association. The EGDF also highlighted the European games industry's €24 billion turnover in 2024, with over 95,000 employees across 6,600 studios.
Pixel Doors Checks In To 'Evergreen Tavern': a Cosy Medieval Tavern Sim with a twist!
Pixel Doors has announced its partnership with Null Moon Games to publish Romain Bevillard's first-person medieval tavern simulator, Evergreen Tavern. The game features traditional tavern management alongside a unique twist where players recruit, educate, and employ dungeon creatures to staff the establishment. Evergreen Tavern will launch with a Kickstarter campaign and Early Access, with a demo available on Steam.

Indie developer Green Parrot Games announced their first title, Lucky Punk, a "hope-punk" deckbuilder where all odds are transparent. The game challenges players to make calculated risks in a striking, eco-dystopian Europe setting. A public playtest will be available on Steam from May 4th to May 11th, with the full PC release planned for Q3.
