672 antibodies rebuilt: AI-designed ‘intrabodies’ take aim at Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and MND from inside the cell

Researchers at the University of Essex have utilized artificial intelligence to redesign 672 antibodies into 'intrabodies' capable of functioning inside human cells. This breakthrough addresses the electrical charge barrier that previously limited antibody effectiveness to the cell membrane, potentially opening new avenues for treating neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Motor Neurone Disease.
