Largest Japanese web novel platform mandates AI-usage disclosure
The largest Japanese web novel platform, Shōsetsuka ni Narō, will mandate AI-usage disclosure for all works starting September 1, 2026. This policy aims to prevent misunderstandings and build trust between authors, readers, and production companies by clearly labeling content created with or aided by artificial intelligence. Failure to comply will result in the inability to update existing works.
