A Japanese indie developer is seeking legal action over alleged missing funds from a crowdfunding campaign, says the funding platform claims the money was 'mistakenly wired to a different client'
An indie developer is pursuing legal action against the crowdfunding platform Ubgoe after 55 million yen ($340,000) raised for the game Shibuya Scramble Stories allegedly went missing. The platform claims the funds were mistakenly wired to another client, a situation the developer's executive producer Jiro Ishii disputes. Despite the financial issue, the game's development is secured by support from Toyku Land Corporation.
