Ukrainian drone pilots are using a GTA V mod to train Shahed interception skills
Ukrainian drone operators are utilizing a modified Grand Theft Auto V server to train for Shahed drone interception missions. Developed by the WeTrueGun training center, the mod simulates aerial target detection, pursuit, and interception tactics within the game's Los Santos environment. While not a replacement for professional military simulators, the mod serves as a tool for psychological decompression, skill maintenance, hardware risk mitigation, and engagement with piloting skills.
