Anime will be "done for" if it focuses on adaptations over original ideas, says Code Geass director

Code Geass director Goro Taniguchi warns that the anime industry risks decline if it relies too heavily on adaptations of existing manga and IP rather than original creations. He notes that while adaptations are currently more profitable, a future dominated by them could be detrimental to Japanese animation.
