Actor Joe Manganiello, chief creative officer for the new D&D Icons product line, expressed his desire for the initiative to honor Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Gary Gygax. Joe Manganiello has announced D&D Icons, a new content slate from Wizards of the Coast that pairs legendary creators with beloved Dungeons & Dragons settings. The first wave of books will include Dragonlance by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, The Legend of Drizzt by RA Salvatore, and a Greyhawk project by Luke Gygax utilizing his father's unfinished work, with potential releases starting in 2027. Wizards of the Coast also revealed Greyhawk: Crown of the Witch Queen, set for late 2027, and a D&D World of Warcraft crossover.
