Fantasy Top Closes Due to Poor Player Involvement
Fantasy Top, a game blending fantasy sports with NFT trading cards featuring crypto influencers, will shut down by June 30, two years after its launch on Ethereum's Blast network. Despite distributing over $20 million to players and $3.2 million to influencers, the company cited unsustainable long-term economics and a failure to find durable market fit for its innovative model. The team plans to reimburse players with unused tickets and ensure stakeholders and investors are repaid.
