Saudi Arabia’s EGDC Raises Ownership Stake in Capcom, Now Owns 6.04 Percent
Saudi Arabia's Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC) has increased its ownership stake in Capcom to 6.04 percent, acquiring an additional 1.01 percent. The EGDC, owned by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also holds a majority stake in SNK and is involved in the proposed acquisition of Electronic Arts by the Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners.

Saudi Arabian investment firm Misk Foundation, through its Electronic Gaming Development Company (EGDC) branch, has acquired a 5.03% stake in Capcom. The firm, owned by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, stated the acquisition is for 'pure investment' purposes. This news comes as Capcom celebrates the success of Resident Evil Village and prepares to release new content for Street Fighter 6.
