NASA targets a September launch for its next big space telescope
NASA is targeting an early September launch for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which boasts a field of view 100 times larger than the Hubble Space Telescope. The telescope will study dark energy, exoplanets, and astrophysics from a vantage point nearly 1 million miles from Earth. The launch is scheduled to occur no later than May 2027 aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
