Despite the first season of the DC Studios series Lanterns not yet having premiered, co-creator Damon Lindelof has expressed optimism for a second season, stating there is "a lot of runway" if the show is successful. Lindelof also mentioned potential actors he'd like to see in future seasons, including Yahya Abdul Mateen II. The series, which follows Hal Jordan and John Stewart investigating a murder across two timelines, is set to debut on HBO Max on August 16.
