First DC Studios anime murders Batman and puts Joker on a "violent quest" to find his killer

DC Studios has unveiled its first anime project, Joker: Laugh Riot, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The story follows the Joker on a violent quest through Gotham's underworld to find Batman's killer after his murder. Directed by Yasuhuro Aoki, the project is separate from the main DC cinematic universe and explores the Joker's identity crisis without his greatest adversary.
