Kotama And Academy Citadel Review

Kotama and Academy Citadel is a solid, entertaining Metroidvania experience that borrows liberally from genre siblings, including a parry mechanic reminiscent of FromSoftware titles. While the combat is crisp and bosses are a highlight, the narrative is obscure and the time-loop mechanic feels underbaked. The game offers tight controls and satisfying platforming, but ultimately doesn't quite break through the genre's amiable malaise.
