Evangelion Characters Join The First Descendant in New Crossover
The First Descendant is set to receive its first anime crossover event, featuring characters from the Rebuild of Evangelion series. The event, starting on June 18, 2026, will include Asuka Shikinami Langley, Mari Illustrious Makinami, and Rei Ayanami, along with new weapon skins and emotes. This marks the third major crossover for The First Descendant, following previous events with Bayonetta and NieR: Automata.

Good Smile Company and Khara are releasing new Pop Up Parade L-size figures of Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami from Rebuild of Evangelion. These swimsuit figures will be approximately nine inches tall and are scheduled to launch in Japan in January 2027, with a worldwide release in Q2 2027 for $57.99 each.

Good Smile Company is releasing a new Moderoid model kit of Evangelion Unit-08α, piloted by Mari Makinami Illustrious in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. The model kit will be available in Japan in October 2026 for ¥4,500 and in the US in Q1 2027 for $26.99. It stands about six and a half inches tall and comes with Mari's sniper rifle, with some parts pre-painted and stickers for customization.

Yuriko Yamaguchi will be a Guest at FanimeCon 2026
Voice actress Yuriko Yamaguchi has been announced as a guest for FanimeCon 2026, which will take place during Memorial Day Weekend at the San Jose Convention Center. Yamaguchi is known for her roles as Ritsuko Akagi in the Evangelion franchise, Nurse Joy in Pokemon, and Nico Robin in One Piece. She joins a growing list of guests for the large anime convention.

Pixelity Inc. announced that Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections will be showcased at the Evangelion:30+ Festival. Director MK Choi will detail the game's XR features, and a panel with the original voice cast will be featured. The first installment of the trilogy is planned for release in 2026, with a special demo in early 2026.
