Blue Dot Games' upcoming Cold War tactical shooter 83 will feature a detailed Commander Mode, inspired by titles like Rising Storm and Battlefield 2. Lead Designer Sturt Jeffery explained that commanders will be boots-on-the-ground lieutenants, vulnerable but capable of deploying command posts to issue orders, call in artillery, and provide recon. The game is slated for an Early Access release in 2026, following a public 36-hour closed beta in March 2026.
