Kirsten Dunst has been cast as Alex in the upcoming Minecraft movie sequel. Dunst previously expressed interest in joining the project for financial reasons. Alex was briefly teased in the first film's post-credits scene, with the character physically portrayed by Alice May Connolly and voiced by Kate McKinnon in the original.
