Ananta developer says free GTA 6 competitor's two massive maps will offer 'anything you’d want to do in a modern city' with countless districts to explore
Ananta, a free-to-play open-world game positioned as a competitor to Grand Theft Auto 6, revealed its second massive map, Chongxiao, at Gamescom 2026. Inspired by Shanghai and Hangzhou, Chongxiao offers advanced technology and cultural experiences, complementing the more modern Nova City. The game, set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile on January 15, 2027, will feature extensive urban gameplay, including driving, combat, and social activities.
