PlayStation is doubling down on planar drivers as it announces a new duo of Pulse wireless PS5 headsets
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced two new PlayStation Pulse wireless headsets for the PlayStation 5: the Pulse wireless and the higher-end Pulse Edge wireless. Both feature new planar audio drivers for improved bass, with the Edge model including active noise cancellation and a detachable boom mic. The Pulse is expected this holiday season, while the Pulse Edge is slated for early 2027.
