At 10, MetaMask Taps Gal Eldar as Product Chief and Bets Its Future on ‘Open Money’

MetaMask, celebrating its 10th anniversary, has appointed Gal Eldar as chief product officer to lead its new 'Open Money' initiative, aiming to integrate payments, savings, investing, and digital assets into a single self-custodial platform. The company also announced an Agent Wallet for AI agents and reported blocking over 6.5 million malicious website visits and 150,000 malicious transactions in 2025, saving users over $500 million. MetaMask has surpassed 100 million downloads and is expanding beyond its browser wallet origins.
