Director David Leitch has stated that Netflix remains fully committed to the Gears of War movie, despite nearly four years of slow progress since its announcement. The film, based on the popular video game franchise, has confirmed John Spaihts as screenwriter and Leitch as director, with The Coalition involved in the collaboration.
