A complex legal dispute involving Destiny 2 streamer Jake Strauss, streamer Ari Smith, former NFL player Kenny Vaccaro's esports organization Gamers First, and boutique PC maker Evolve PCs has escalated. After Strauss won a $245,000 judgment against Vaccaro and G1 for an unpaid loan, the judgment was overturned due to a legal notice error. Subsequently, streamer Mitch Jones stepped in and provided Strauss with $180,000 to cover the initial loan and legal fees, though Strauss continues to pursue legal action against the scammers.
