Marvel’s Wolverine Review – Claws and effect
Marvel's Wolverine is a dark and brutal cinematic action-adventure that excels with its gratifying combat and heartfelt story about trauma. Insomniac Games delivers strong performances and impressive production values on the PlayStation 5, though some 'gamey' elements feel shoehorned in and it doesn't significantly innovate on the superhero genre. The game offers a compelling narrative with intense action balanced by character moments.

Insomniac Games' Wolverine is a solid, cinematic action game that serves the character well but fails to leverage the studio's creative strengths. While the visual presentation and character performances are commendable, the combat lacks weight, flow, and depth, feeling rote and unrewarding. The narrative offers an emotional perspective on Logan and sets up future X-Men universe developments, but the gameplay remains largely unremarkable.
