Director Richard Kelly is releasing an 800-page sequel novel to his 2001 film Donnie Darko, titled 'The Philosophy of Time Travel,' set to release in late 2026. The novel takes place 14 months after the movie's events and explores the aftermath of Donnie Darko's sacrifice. Kelly also hopes to adapt the novel into a film and potentially create further sequels, possibly incorporating animation and reuniting the original cast.
