Battle mechanics utilize the Action Ring system for turn order, and the companion Halu returns with expanded functionality and upgradeable abilities.

Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered will feature new characters like Shunrai, Raiko, Ashta, and Nava, with voice acting from Yuuki Kuwahara, Ryoutaro Okiayu, Miho Okasaki, and Maki Hanagiri respectively. The game introduces new field mechanics such as Symbol Encounters and Area Conquest, and enhances the battle system with an improved Action Ring and the Halu companion system.
