Sega has announced the passing of Hideki Sato, the lead designer of most of its home consoles, including the Mega Drive/Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast. Sato, who worked at Sega from 1971 to 2008 and served as President from 2001 to 2003, was instrumental in developing iconic hardware.
