AMD CPUs will now support socket AM5 motherboards until 2029, for long term easy CPU upgrades
AMD has announced that its Socket AM5 platform will receive support for new CPUs until 2029, extending its lifespan by two years. This commitment aims to provide long-term upgrade paths for consumers, contrasting with Intel's shorter support cycles. The company also revealed updated pricing and availability for several Ryzen CPUs, including the relaunch of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and the new Ryzen 7 7700X3D.
