NetEase and Joker Studio have announced that their upcoming multiplayer Age of Sail game, Sea of Remnants, will be having a closed beta test. The game is confirmed to be launching on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Android, iOS, ASUS ROG Ally, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Further details, including the beta's timing, will be revealed at Gamescom, where a 20-minute demo will also be available.

The multiplayer pirate survival sandbox game Windrose has officially launched into early access. Developed by Kraken Express, the game focuses on PvE gameplay where players live as pirates during the Age of Sail, surviving, exploring, and fighting on land and sea. The developers project a full 1.0 release in two to three years.
