EVE Vanguard: Operation Avalon update launches the game's first alpha playtest

EVE Vanguard has launched its Operation Avalon update, marking the start of its first alpha playtest available for free on PC. This update introduces overhauled weapons and gunplay, orbital bombardments, a deeper looting system, and a new map called Lost Convoy. The playtest runs until July 20, 2026, and can be accessed via Steam or the EVE Launcher for existing EVE Online accounts.
