Avatar co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino explained Suki's absence from the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, citing the need to focus on main characters within the 85-minute runtime. He confirmed that Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors were busy with other missions during the film's events. Director Lauren Montgomery also hinted at future plans for the character.
