Insomniac Games narrative director Walt Williams explained that Marvel's Wolverine will not feature the X-Men because the game's narrative focuses on the unsafe and precarious existence of mutants. The game will explore Wolverine's perspective as an outsider, emphasizing that mutants lack a safe haven like the X-Mansion. Marvel's Wolverine is set to launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 16.
