AMD is considering releasing a Ryzen 5 9600X3D processor later this year, according to David McAfee, VP and GM of AMD's Ryzen and Radeon divisions. While the company is exploring options to create more choices for system builders, the value proposition of a potential 9600X3D could be challenged by existing AMD chips like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the more affordable Ryzen 5 7600X3D.
