Hytale founder Simon Collins-Laflamme is exploring ways to support mod creators without implementing a traditional paid mod system. The current plan is to keep mods free to install within the in-game browser, with potential future options for players to voluntarily support creators through systems similar to Patreon. This approach aims to foster a discovery-driven modding ecosystem rather than a commercial marketplace.
