Cinematic Mode – Practical Magic 2 is less magical the second time around
Practical Magic 2 fails to recapture the magic of its predecessor, largely undoing the character development from the first film to repeat Sally's arc. While the performances from Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, and Joey King are strong, and the set and costume design successfully mimic the original's aesthetic, the sequel's reliance on dark magic and a rehashed plot results in an underwhelming experience. The film is currently in cinemas.
