Scream star Courteney Cox wants to direct a sequel: "Nobody knows more about that movie than I do"

Courteney Cox, who has played Gale Weathers in the Scream franchise since its inception, has expressed interest in directing a future installment, stating that she knows the series better than anyone. With Scream 8 officially in development with writers Lilla and Nora Zuckerman, Cox believes her directorial debut would be a great publicity move for the franchise.
