Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a significant price increase for the PlayStation 5 console in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian regions, effective May 1, 2026. The base PlayStation 5 will now cost PHP 40,032 in the Philippines, up from PHP 30,790. The PlayStation Portal will also see a price adjustment. Sony cited continued pressures in the global economic landscape as the reason for the increase.
