Resident Evil Veronica producer says Capcom changed the title to fit the series' naming pattern which follows the individual themes attached to each entry — 'It's usually one word that is really iconic or connected to the concept of the game'

Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi explained that Resident Evil Veronica remake was named to align with the series' pattern of using iconic, single words tied to a game's concept, similar to Resident Evil Requiem. He emphasized that the original Code Veronica is considered as important as mainline entries. The remake is scheduled for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
